I use GB-PVR now for almost 2 years without any problem. Since a few days I have problems with the audio volume during live TV programs and recording DVD's on my PC (thus, no cable issues). The volume of the sound is minimal with the speakers on maximum volume. The audio volume of the music files in GB-PVR are, on the other hand, normal. The volume of the GB-PVR recordings, are normal too, if you use an another player. The config of GB-PVR config is (mostly) default and nothing is changed. Nevertheless, I have tried the several possibilities of the Audio Decoder in config without any result.

I use GB-PVR 1.1.5, XP-SP2, Hauppauge 150MCE (the Hauppauge applications WinTV and WinTV Radio, works very well). K-Lite codec & XP codec packs are installed. Repair GB-PVR 1.1.5 doesn't solve the audio volume problem.

I use GB-PVR now only for recording TV programs which automatically delete the commercials with comskip. Because the audio volume of the recordings are normal with other media players (I use pczapper for displaying on the LCD-TV), the problem isn't a big issue for me, but it's still annoying. I don't know why suddenly the audio volume problem (except for the music files) in GB-PVR is arise.

I dont know if it is related to this, but you could try deleting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Devnz\LastVolume registry setting.

A possibility is whatever TV decoder GBPVR uses is linked to another program that has the volume turned down, and since your music and using a different player for recordings works, they probably use a different decoder.

Just a possibility. I get that with PowerDVD sometimes. I'd watch something with PowerDVD and turn the volume down on that particular too-loud file, then later I'd watch something with a different player and the volume would be low unless I raise it again in PowerDVD or sometimes in the Windows audio control.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

It is related Sub, because after deleting LastVolume the audio volume in GB-PVR is normal now!
Thx :-)
