I have been searching for ages, I know its here, I just can't find it.

Could someone please lend a hand.

I live in NZ and have two tuners, one dvb-s and one analoge

I would like to setup gbpvr so it will use either tuner (whichever is available) to record say TVONE or an another channel that is available in both formats.
At the moment my EPG just shows two copies of the same channel which I can reduce to one but how do I get gbpvr to realise they are the same channel.

Many thanks for any help

P.S. Love the new Release. I must admit I have been playing around with other products. but none of them compare.Big Grin

Where do you get your EPG from? If the channel names are identical on both sources, then it should treat them as only one channel (only show once in tv guide etc).

you are best to use one epg source for each channel i have found

so setup something like this
tuner 1 analog tv1,2,3,c4 etc
epg source xmtlv

tuner 2 sat tv1,2,3,c4 etc
epg source xmtv

tuner 3 sat cue,stratos
epg source dvb

tuner4 analog compsite Sky1, sky movies etc
epg source xmltv

even though tuner 2 and 3 are the same tuner gbpvr sorts this out and knows not to use both these sources at the same time

i know that from xmltv(revens source) channel 1 is called tv1
but on DVB source for epg data its called TVone and this is why i get get 2 tv1's if i use both lots of epg data
this actually works out as a plus for me cause i know that tvone is the digital tuner and as i have bad reception on analog tv1 i know that if i choose this channel i get the digital tuner

So far I have setup the Digital EPG for all freeview channels.
And the Analog EPG (revens xmltvnz) to do the channels not covered by this.
I then manually added "TV ONE" to the analog tuner.
When I look at channels in setup it show two TV ONE's and the same in PVRX2v 1.29

I think I worked out where i went wrong.

It was trying to enter the channel manually?

When i used epg to import the data it worked and looks great.

Thanks again

keep up the great work.
