If videoredo fixes the files then it looks more and more likely that the timeline bug still exists in their drivers. I don't know if the same drivers are used?, if they are then the registry patches might fix it, if the drivers are different, then shouting at Hauppauge may be the only way out.
I don't recall having heard of it before though....
We don't have that tuner over here, so can't find anything more....

Running the patch whether you need it or not will not hurt anything...

also i found that a jeckler had this issue also with a 1600

Sorry. When I meant the patch, I meant the reg fix that will add timestamp keys to the registry, that helps with some drivers. If your drivers uses those keys, then it will help, if it does not, then there will be two unused keys just sitting there. And that's no big deal...
