Oddly enough the past day or so it has been working fine... kind of weird. I appreciate your help UJB and will check that directory the next time it acts up.

Thanks again!

rowle1jt Wrote:Doh! My bad... there is in fact a /gbpvr/ in there... I just didn't type it right.

These are the way the should have looked:

http://xyz/gbpvr/guide.aspx

http://xyz/gbpvr/gbpvr.aspx/manage.aspx

I still wonder about the CSS, not sure what could cause that not to load? I am using the community skin but I can't imagine that would affect anything?

EDIT: Thanks UJB, I appreciate your help! Smile

The first URL is correct....the second URL is not accurate....all URL's should be:

http://xyz:yourport/gbpvr/pagename.aspx or
http://xyz:yourport/gbpvr/public/pagename.aspx

On you examples I see no port number and the second one is wrong because you have guide.aspx\manage.aspx should be just \gbpvr\guide.aspx or \gbpvr\manage.aspx .

I am assuming you are running with the built in GBPVR web server and are not using IIS or trying to run under Apache....correct?

Yes, the built in web server.

Exact url: (with only the host name changed)

http://something.dyndns.org:7647/gbpvr/guide.aspx/

Here is the really crazy part... I remove the last slash and capitalize the "G" in guide it loads fine... very odd.

http://something.dyndns.org:7647/gbpvr/Guide.aspx loads perfectly... while the first url with the last slash and lower case "G" does not load CSS and it will error when you click a link (due to the bad url: ie ...guide.aspx/manage.aspx/)

Thats weird....

Yep...you can't have that trailing slash....with that slash at the end you are telling the server you are looking for something beyond the guide.aspx page.

I am sure if you use the lowercase guide.aspx without the slash at the end the page will load fine.

I have verified that I can re-create your situation by including the slash at the end of the url.....don't do that and you will be fine. Wink

Thanks UJB.

Thus far it has worked and I am so glad you could recreate it.... now I don't feel like a such a dork, like I was doing something wrong. Big Grin

Thanks again!
