so i'm back in action with gbpvr after a year or so away and It's hard to imagine life without it Smile.

My question is as follows. I have the theater 550 ati card which does hardware mpeg encoding. I'd like to use the hardware mpeg encoder to encode the programs I intend to record. However, when I'm watching something I want to take advantage of the ffdshow filters so it looks pretty..

can I set it up this way or is this the default behavior? For instance when the recorder service kicks off and begins recording a scheduled program I asked it to, will it also apply the ffdshow filters or will it only do so when I'm watching the programs/playing back the recorded programs?

i hope this is making sense.

thanks again,
dlv

The app uses the ATI 550 Pro's hardware encoder when recording .mpg files.

You can configure the app to use whatever video decoder you want for playback, including the ffdshow decoder. Just select the ffdshow decoder on the playback tab. The decoder only affects playback, not recording.
