I had problems with my machine freezing when I used the NewCS cardserver, so now I've changed to ACamd (v0.5.0.9), and everything is very stable now!

I have one problem though... The setup only works in live tv. I can watch encrypted channels, but I can only record unencrypted channels.

I've tried this:

- Restarted recording service and started GB-PVR
- Starts live tv on an unencryped channel (DR1), swiched to an encrypted one (Motors), can't decode, stops live tv
- Starts live tv again, this time on the encrypted channel, it decodes and works fine
- Selects record, gets a black screen, presses 'stop' to return to main menu
- Goes to recordings and stops the recording

This produced these logs: logs-2008-04-09a.rar

And this file: Motors TV_20080409193215.ts (20mb)

Code:
(Config set to: "Enable Multidec plugin support", "Record out-of-process" and "Reuse MDAPI filter")
MediaInfo:
General #0
Complete name                : F:\PVR\Manual Recordings\Motors TV_20080409193215.ts
Format                       : MPEG-2 Transport
Format/Family                : MPEG-2
File size                    : 19.3 MiB
PlayTime                     : 40s 661ms
Bit rate                     : 3989 Kbps
Video #0
Codec                        : MPEG-2 Video
Codec/Family                 : MPEG-V
PlayTime                     : 40s 661ms
Audio #0
Codec                        : MPEG-1 Audio
Codec/Family                 : MPEG-A
While MediaInfo says that it's not encryptet, GB-PVR and VLC won't play the file.

I made another recording with slightly diffirent settings: Motors TV_20080409195007.ts (9mb)

Code:
(Config only set to: "Enable Multidec plugin support")
MediaInfo:
General #0
Complete name                : F:\PVR\Manual Recordings\Motors TV_20080409195007.ts
Format                       : MPEG-2 Transport
Format/Family                : MPEG-2
File size                    : 8.95 MiB
PlayTime                     : 18s 534ms
Bit rate                     : 4051 Kbps
Video #0
Codec                        : MPEG-2 Video
Codec/Family                 : MPEG-V
PlayTime                     : 18s 534ms
Bit rate                     : 3890 Kbps
Encryption                   : Encrypted

If I choose MS-DVR or Cyberlink mux'es I get 0 byte files, with the TS mux I get these files, and I get working video files when I record from an unencrypted channel.

It's almost like the MultiDec plugings doesn't have any effect on the recordings I'm making?

I forgot to mention that if I copy the multidec plugins (without changing configs) to the MyTheatre program, both live tv and recording works there.

What's puzzling is that I can't see why there'd be any difference in how the multidec plugins are used in live-tv vs. recording in GB-PVR.

The reason for this is simple, acamd doesn't support multiple instances of itself. When you press record, a second mdapifilter.dll is loaded by gbpvr, which loads a second acamd.dll. Upon initialization of acamd.dll, the process stops as it wasn't designed to work like this. I'm facing the exact same issue...

Ps. I'm using acamd i.c.w. newcs 1.61 because acamd standalone freezes my machine. The combination of both works perfectly stable.
