Hello,
IU'm just not lucky finding any of my episodes through "Lookup Detail". My shows, e.g. Criminal Minds, is organized as follows:

F:\Series --- Criminal Minds -+- Season 1 - 1001 Extreme Aggressor.mpg
! 1002 Compulsion.mpg
! 1003 Won't Get Fooled Again.mpg
! etc.
+- Season 2 - 2023 The Fisher King Part 2.mpg
! 2024 P911.mpg
! etc.
+- Season 3 - 3046 Doubt.mpg
3047 In Birth and Death.mpg
etc.
3061 Elephants Memory.mpg

I go to "Add Content", select F:\Series\Criminal Minds\Season 3 and click on "Locate New Content". In Manage Contents, I try to get a description with "Lookup detail", but I either get a description of the whole show or a list of movies that contain some of the episode words, but not the right info for the episodes.
I'm getting tired to do a manually copy and paste from tv.com for each episode for each field, what am I doing wrong?

MovieWiz attempts to lookup information based on the title. When loading from disk with the MovieWizManager (config), the program attempts to create the title based on the filename. When the "Load" Button is pressed, the program:
 • Attempts the create the title from the base filename by removing the extension.
 • If the title has a '|' or '-' in it, it parses it to deterine the series and episode assuming this format: series|episode (or series-episode)
 • If it determines there is a possible series/episode it searches TheTvDb.com for a hit. If it finds a 'unique' hit, it loads the db with the data.
 • If no hit was found on TheTvDb.com OR it did not detect a series/episode, it looks up the title on IMDB.com
 • If not found, it looks for a default entry in the MovieWiz db that has EXACTLY the same series name and has the default entry flag turned on. If found in the db and above is true, it will load all fields from that default entry.
That said, it seems you are controlling the series based on the directory name, not on the file name.

You can do two things:
 1. In the MovieWizManager (config), manually type in the title as "Criminal Minds | Extreme Aggressor" (no quotes). This indicates a series (Criminal Mind) and a specific episode (Extreme Aggressor). This should work, but it is a manual process.
 2. Preferred - You can keep the directory name as the series, but for each file within the directory, format as: series - episode. Note, if you want to keep episode or season descriptors, enclose them in [ ], I believe the routines will strip those tokens before performing the search. For example, name your show:
Criminal Minds - [Season 1 - 1001] Extreme Aggressor.mpg

NOTE: TheTvDb.com has the episode name misspelled, Agressor (one g), so this is a bad example.

If the file names follow the above pattern, your hit ratio should be much better.
Make sure you have the most current Wiz DLLs which you can get here.

It didn't work because I tried it with a dash, like Criminal Minds - Compulsion. After I tried with the | in between the show name and episode name (Criminal Minds | Compulsion), it works fine.
Thank you for your help.

Great, glad you got it working. BTW: next version will have a fix so that title with '-' will search for series episode (just like '-').
