Hi

I have just upgraded to version 1.2.9 after many happy years of GBPVR use. I already have a freecom v2 stick and have decommisioned an older PVR 150 and replaced with a Nova-td USB stick. I uninstalled all wintv drivers and software and then put in the latest drivers off the Hauppauge site and the software.

I have the new nova-td stick working fine in Wintv software and it picks up all the UK DVB TV channels fine. I have kept it in diversity mode because I have poor reception in my flat and in this mode it picks up all channels well

When I add a new device in GBPVR I have picked the first Nova TD option on the list of devices below for diversity mode:
Hauppauge Nova-TD
Hauppauge Nova-TD Tuner 1
Hauppauge WinTV MOD7700 DVB-T #1

I then scanned channels and this is where the problem is. Occasionally the GBPVR scanning software finds some of the channels but mostly in any given block it recognises a signal (e.g. strength 5000, quality 60) and pauses but then fails to pick up any channels and add to the list. I assume this is a problem with the signal quality, but I cant understand why the Wintv software works fine with the same 2 amplified indoor aerials (I cant put up a roof aerial for my flat)

The channel scan for the Freecom stick had a couple of tries and then worked for all channels (though reception of some is more jumpy than the Nova-td since it doesnt have the diversity technology hence why I want to ad the NOva-td stick too)

Also in GBPVR neither the few channels picked up by the Nova-td or the ones picked up by Freecom stick can update their EPGs (they are both set to DVB-T digital EPG download)

Any help much appreciated- config and logs attached- i have spent a very frustrating Sunday on this!!

To be honest, I'm not really sure what to suggest. There is no sign of any errors in the logs that would stop it finding channels.

One further thought - I have all the channel mapping info for the Freecom stick - is there any way I can just copy it across to the relevant file for the Nova-td so the Nova stick has the tuning informatoin even if I cant get it to pick it up during channel mapping?

Where is the map of channel tuning informatoin stored for each DVB-T device?

Thanks

You can try copying from one *.cache file to another in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA, then run the 'map digital channels to epg channels' screen.

Fantastic that worked! I also used the detailed advice in thread http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...map&page=2

It seems that the GBPVR channel scanning module doesnt always pick up all channels for all sticks, but this work-around sorts it

Many thanks
