This only seems to happen with recordings from ABC & Fox (both broadcast 720p).

As I get further into the recording, the timeline seems to be messed up causing skips forwards to actually jump back. It seems that the timing loses ~40 seconds per 15 minutes. This results in a 30 second skip ahead actually moving back 10 seconds.

I posted this on the NMT forums & was told there was nothing that could be done about it since transport streams don't really have time information with them. However, I switched to the Cyberlink mux & had the same issue with the resulting mpg's. (The situation was actually worse w/ the Cyberlink mux because by the end of the show, the audio was so far out of sync, it was unwatchable).

Any ideas? I tried TSConverter, but that didn't fix the problem. I never have this issue with 1080i recordings....

Its a NMT bug from what I can tell. The skipping is definitely not as good as it could be. Transport Streams do have timing info in them, and along with the filesize are the key factors involved in skipping.

Sadly I think the focus at Syabas is more on torrents and mkv support then it is on on basic mpeg ps or ts support. To be fair their support for navigation within all the their formats is much better and it could just be that digitial tv captureres aren't high on the priority list.
