I believe I got everything setup right. I can hit N-PVR.html from my PCH a-110 and get it running via npvr.cgi. It brings up the nvpr menu just fine. The problem is none of my recordings will play nor can I watch live tv.

Going to recordings -> any recording and try to play it, it just returns to the previous recording listings menu.
Going to Live TV it errors with Unable to find available capture device.

If I just do a network browse (outsite of the npvr app) to a different share on the same media server via smb, I can see my media and play it fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here is my output from nmt checker:

C:\mvpmc \GB-PVR.html not found

For the syntax checker you will need to:-
"in the top left edit box enter the IP of your NMT or the hostname if you have a hard disk in the PCH"
also I would say Martin will need to see the NextPVR & Web logs after trying to play a recording

The output in my first post is the output from nmtchecker. I've attached the logs from npvr. The IP of the PCH-a110 is 192.168.1.109.

Regarding the configuration, it doesn't look like you have entered a section in you config.xml that matches the MAC address of your PCH. As for why files don't play, I can't tell anything because those logs don't show any connection attempts. If you have more than one MVP configured you will need to set it to one to do this test. However I am also not seeing any attempts to watch live tv in these logs. Do you have more than one instance of NextPVR running an MVP server? The NMT might be connecting to it.

You were right and I did have another npvr setup on my old system running. I uninstalled npvr on it and shut the system down.

Now I can't get the npvr app to start at all on the pch. via web browser it says request cannot be processed. Via npvr.cgi the screen goes blank/black for a while then drops me back ot the network share.

I do have a section my config.xml for the mac of my pch:

<MVPSpecificSettings>
<MAC-0006DC43BF55>
<MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>true</MVPSendIncrementalUpdates>
<MVPClientType>PCH2</MVPClientType>
<MVPWidth>1280</MVPWidth>
<MVPHeight>720</MVPHeight>
<MVPOffsetX>0</MVPOffsetX>
<MVPOffsetY>0</MVPOffsetY>
</MAC-0006DC43BF55>
</MVPSpecificSettings>

I've verified the mac matches what is in the network setup screen of the pch. Not sure why it is nmtchecker isn't picking it up.

Because of the previous steps you know that mvpmcx2 is loading correctly, the blank npvr.cgi indicates that the client can't talk to your server usually because of a firewall

As Jaggy wrote you need to enter the IP of your NMT into the syntax check in the box that defaults to PCH-A100 when there is no hard disk in the PCH.

I am inputting the ip of the nmt into the nmtchecker. The ouput is identical as the previously posted one:

Checking for mvpmc share on SERVER003
mvpmc C:\mvpmc

Checking GB-PVR.html links
C:\mvpmc \GB-PVR.html not found

MAC

GB-PVR Not Installed

<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/USB_DRIVE_A-1/mvpmc/usb_a.cgi">N-PVR via USB</a>

I've turned off the firewall and it is the same thing.

Where is nmtchecker pulling the mac information from?

The MAC address detection is a bit of messy C# code and it might be getting confused because you have two network cards. It is connecting to the server and reading the configuration so I think that part is alright.

Powered off the NMT fully go use the npvr.cgi option from the mvpmc share and post the logs again.

I removed the extra network card as it was just used for virtual box host only networking. After that, rebooted system and made sure everything looked good. Powered on the nmt and got it to load up the npvr app via npvr.cgi. Everything seems to be working like a charm now.

Thanks for all the help.
