Up until now, I've had a cable split and feeding analog signals into my 2 PVR-150 tuners. I've just aquired a used digital cable box and now want to have one of my PVR-150 cards fed a digital signal via S-Video and have a few questions...

1) On Schedules Direct, I've added a 2nd channel line-up for the digital channels in my area. When I go to update the EPG for both cards, ALL channels are retrieved, even for the analog-only card. I guess manually unchecking the "Enabled" checkboxes in the Channels list for the digital-only channels in the analog list will fix that?

2) How do I setup the PVR-150 IR blaster to control my cable box from within GBPVR? I thought this would be an easy answer to find, but I can't figure it out. I ran the setup program for the blaster and that works fine, but how do I get GBPVR to change channels via the blaster? Is that not "built-in"?

3) When I go to Live TV, is there a way to force it to use the PVR-150 card that's attached to the cable box so I can watch the extra digital channels?

4) Related to question #1... Since for the analog-only card, I've disabled the digital-only channels, will GBPVR know to not use that card if recording a digital program?

Yes. (there is also a way to tell a capture source to only use a specific Schedules Direct lineup, but what you suggest is probably best now that you've already pulled in the full list of channels for both devices)

You need to use the Hauppauge BlastCFG app to config it for the correct type of set top box etc, then set your GB-PVR capture source to use the '.exe channel changer' and point it at c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\haupblast.exe. After that it should change channels for you automatically.

When you request a specific channel to be viewed in live tv, it'll work its way up from the bottom o fthe capture source list looking for an available capture source that has the requested channel, so if you have this capture source listed last then its the most likely to be used.

It'll only try to record from that capture source for channels that are enabled.
