Recording playback pic and sound out of sinc

I have been playing with this for a couple of weeks now.
DVB-T signal in New Zealand runs fine on PVRX2 as live tv.
When recorded - the playback is a bit glitchy and sound gets out of sinc with video. Resets if pause and replay but after a few seconds it happens again.
Files play ok with VLC Media Player - no problems. With Windows Media Player - there is no sound at all.
These effects seem to be independant of whatever codecs i use.
Win Media Player uses Haali media splitter (it pops up in the tray)
My Understanding is that PVRX2 uses windows native media handling for playback and i have a feeling that this is where the problem lies. Does anybody have a clue how i can fix this?

I posted something similar under "Juddering playback of recorded TV shows". I use Hauppauge PVR250 cards. If I download an .avi file, it plays perfectly!!

I know what Flyndr is seeing, and its not the same thing as you're getting.

The next release due in a few days works much better with our DVB-T Freeview setup.

If you dont want to wait, then there is another thread here about getting good playback with GB-PVR using PowerDVD8 components installed on the same machine.

These dont understand HE-AAC, so wont give you any audio.

dont know if you have used these but have a look if you havent
use gspot --change merit of decoders
and graph edit --to see what decoders work/what is been used

monogram graphstudio is another one it does both and provides a bit more info
