Which program in IRSS are you using to blast? There are a few from what I understand. only IRblast.exe seemd to take the speed switch. Also my blasting nees a spacing of something around 700 to make sure all numbers are accounted for. It could be smaller but I haven't remeasured since I got it working.

I'm not sure I'm still having the issue but at one point I had to start the IR Server Suite Service in windows, start tranlator blast a code to the box on port 2 then close it all and turn off the service then start hip and only then would hip work. I don't know why but it worked while I was having issues. I've reworked hip this weekend and can't remember if I've restarted and redid that work around.

Which port are you using?

WooHoo! Got it working with HIP!! I gave up IR Server and started focusing on HIP again. I finally figured I had HIP working correctly and starting playing with the placement of the blaster. I finally found the sweet spot and it started working!

Apparently you don't put it directly over the 'eye', you put it just to the right of it. I experimented a little bit and moved it 1/4" to either side and it wouldn't work, it's gotta be just right.

Thanks so much for all of your help!

Another question - how did you overcome the 'press ok' to continue screensaver? Also what if the DVR used that particular 'stream' and it say's 'press ok to continue'?

I was thinking of setting up a batch job that would send an OK to the STB at 2 minutes 'til the hour, but that seems a little extreme.

I noticed in your channel changer syntax (within gbpvr) that you have an 'oeeee{channel}' or something like that. Is that to overcome this issue?

Yes that is exactly it, it will hit OK every time it changes the channel and then sever escapes because there is sometimes a 4 command delay in changing channels from sleep. (when using a 700 spacing) You could set a command to hit ok some say ever 4 hours but to me it seems to be more like ever 8 hours it will turn off.

If by DVR do you mean if the DVR box AT&T Gives you? If so then its no problem, that box can take all 4 (actually specs say 7 but att only gives you 4) streams and record them at the same time, because its made for their equipment the box doesn't have to display anything while it records.

So I guess in HIP you assigned the 'o' key to the OK ir blast, and what did you assisgn the 'e' key to?

exit to tv. Actually I think my command is something like eoooo{channel}

As I was stupid and didn't order the 4 box when it was free and I use the same box to watch TV and record, if I happen to be in a menu or application this will take me out and change the channel.

This will not work if you in something like yahoo photos or games as it takes too long to get back but I should remember that the computer did it and hurry to change the channels when I can.

ah, Mine is actually mostly dedicated (office) but you never know what will pop up on those screens. Methinks I'll do the same thing.
