Can I use Hauppauge remote control on a Client PC?

Is there any way to make the remote that came with my PVR150 and HVR1600 cards work on a client PC? If not, is there a relatively cheap (25-50 USD) solution that I could use instead?

you need a receiver so the short answer is NO
a mce remote is the best solution (there are slightly cheaper remotes but you get what you pay for )
