manual recording does not create file

I have just installed GB-PVR v1.2.13, and have found a couple of issues.

1) when performing a manual record the program does not write the recorded material to disk.
2) settings main menu option opens for a second and then closes. (this is previously noted in another thread.

1) Details...

I have Live TV working well and are pleased with the system, however if i try and record the stream is NOT written to disk.

I had a look in the log files and the file names it appears to be looking to write to are invalid....please find logs enclosed

the system creates the "Manual recordings" folder, so i am assuming this isn't a windows permissions issue

i have tried various settings for the store folders and in all cases the file names either include spaces at the start of the file name or concatenations of the previous and latest paths (thus introducing 2 C:\ into the string)

any ideas?

system is Windows Vista Home Premium with Hauppauge HVR-1100

Sorry by this device does not have the required hardware MPEG2 encoder on its analog side, so isnt usable for analog with GB-PVR. It is usable for DVB-T digital though.

That said... I have experimented with some software encoder support in the last few weeks, but it hasnt been tested with the HVR-1100: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=36082
