My motherboard gains anything between 2 seconds and a minute every 15 minutes. So rather than go through all the hassle of sending it back and getting a replacement i decided to use some free time sync software and set up a scheduled task to update the time every 15 minutes.

I think this caused a problem with recording a specific program on christmas day (vicar of dibley on bbc1).

My theory is that the recording started, then the time got synced which put the clock outside of the program time (including padding) which then stopped the recording.

is there anyway the code could be modded to cope with this situation.

Sorry, you'll have to get your PC clock working reliably (or resync at a time when recordings dont take place). GB-PVR is dependent on the current time.

The situation you describe may have caused a problem, but I cant be sure. I dont test situations where the clock changes.

Wow, that's some serious time loss. Is that common on motherboards?
