My current gbpvr combination doesn't have the grunt to play the new DVB-T broadcasts. But the PCH can. So up till now what I have done is have gbpvr record the show (using a Hauppauge HVR-900H) and while it's recording, via SMB the PCH can start to play the show. That works pretty well.
But I was wondering with the MPVMCX2 interface I could control gbpvr directly from the PCH. If that is the case when playing video files or trying to do Live TV, which device is actually doing the video/audio processing - gbpvr or the PCH? If the latter then that would be great since I don't need to upgrade the HTPC. Otherwise will stick to what I am doing now - not so elegant but lower cost.
Thanks
Larry
