I am just trying out gbpvr for the first time and have a few quick questions that i could not find answers to.

How do i set the recording format. I would like mpg with the best quality.

Does or can gbpvr record Hd programs in HD, so that the playback of the recorded file is in HD?

I tried a manual recording but how do you stop it?

How do I change the recording quality from medium to best?

Thanks

Welcome to the board! - I'll try and answer as many of your questions as I can...

When you schedule the recording you can select the quality, these qualities can be adjusted from the config application (capture sources tab, edit your source, then hit 'edit' next to your recording source.

I believe so, I'm not using it -I'm sure someone else will chime in (I can't event get freeview - teach me to buy a house in a valley!)

In the recordings screen, go to pending, select your recording and hit cancel

See above

HTH - I'm not in front of my box at the moment, but the info should be fairly accurate Big Grin

Just a quickie - The recording quality settings are just for analogue tuners.
With digital you get what the broadcaster is sending. If send as HD then it is recorded as HD.

And a quickie additional comment: The default quality for analogue is always Medium, not High. However, you can set the quality parameters for Medium to be the same as High in config.exe, so you'll always get the quality you want as the default. It will just say Medium when you set the recording up.

And it depends on how you gtet your HD - if it's from a STB, then you would need one of the new hauppage HDPVR cards.

Cheers
