I am very happy with GBPVR.

I am trying to record 2008 Olympics shows that run for more than 4 hours but my recordings seem to always finish after 2 hours and 33 min. I have paddings 1 min before and 2 mins after.

Example : XXIX Summer Olympics_20080808_07001200.mpg
size : 4,30 GB (4*618*625*496 bytes)
Created : 8 août 2008, 06:59:02
Modified : 8 août 2008, 12:02:02

But when replayed with VLC media player or thru GBPVR with MVP : Duration is 2:33:28.

I search the forums but did not find anything specific to my problem.

Any clue?

Thank you all!

Windows XP SP2

Perhaps you are recording onto a FAT32 file system that has a 4GB file limit?

Yeah, I'm sure gEd is correct. If you'd been using NTFS you should be able to create a recording file as big as you want.

Hi Guys,

I had the FAT file size problem last year so I reformatted NTFS at that time.

So my drive is already NTFS. I just double checked in drive property to be sure.

I expect to be able to record more than 4Gb. Also the file size is more than 4 Gb (4*294*967*296 bytes).

Both recording I made are truncated at 2 hours 33 minutes that is equal to 2 hours 30 minutes plus 3 minutes for the padding.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you again.

Hi Guys,

Just check my current recording and it's duration is currently 5 hours 15 minutes and more than 8Gb and still recording. Don't know why it is working now!

Don't search any more. Maybe the problem was behing the keyboard.

Thank you.
