Yep, the filtercheck.log confirms, two capture sources, both as device #1. One as "Hauppauge Nova-T-500 DVB-T (1)", the other as "Hauppauge Nova-T-500 DVB-T (2)".

(The filter names containing (Dev1 Path0) certainly makes it sounds like USB device. Very odd.)

A pair of USB tuners, on a PCI card with VIA USB chips.

Thanks. I defined (1) and (2) and am able to record two channels at once. Cool Smile

At least while they are USB internally, they don't seem to rely on the USB port on the PC. So far I have not had the flakiness that the 900H manifested which is good. Plus I get two tuners instead of one.

I also had trouble with my tuners disappearing, and the occasional well known BSOD problem. Apparently, USB disconnects for the NOVA-T 500 are common under linux as well. My problems seem to have vanished since I disabled standby mode (touch wood). I still use Hibernate, but the cold start seems to make a difference.

I had a 900H which was disconnecting regularly. I have replaced this with a Nova 500T which while might be USB on the chipset, is a PCI card. So far only one disconnect and that was right after installation so the reboot might have fixed that.
