Locks up in the middle of playin video - requiring reboot

I thought I had everything exactly how I wanted it and would have no more problems

This has happened each time I tried watching a movie to completion.

The scene will freeze. It won't always freeze at the same spot, as I'm able to finish the movie upon reboot if I forward to that spot.

The scene freezes. Nothing. Ctrl-alt-del shows it "Not Responding" - so I try to end the programme. It won't actually end. It'll cause a "serious windows error" and my machine will reboot.

Attached are my logs. Thank you so much for helping me, I really like this so much better than the others I tried!

One other thing, it doesn't matter if it is a Movie Only DVD rip or full disc, it seems to just be any movie I have, random, at some-time USUALLY toward the end, but in this instance that I'm posting it was fairly early on.

If you cant actually kill the process, then it sounds like something happening in a driver - probably the video card driver. Maybe try a different video renderer option to see if it behave any better.

OK I'll try, but previously the other renders didn't play dvd menus correctly, so I had to use the PowerDvd7 one. The rest, including 8, seemed to mess up the menus. But I'll try it with one with no menus just to see if it plays through.

renderer/decoders/navigators are all different things. I was talking about renderers (ie VMR9/EVR/Overlay)

Oh. Thanks, I'm still figuring this stuff out! I'll look to see what renderer I'm using, where to change it, and try another one. Thanks so much for being patient with me - I really like this!
