I am a huge fan of IDE --->USB adapters, but never have gotten my hands on the IDE\Pata\SATA --->USB yet.

I will have to give it a try.

I just tried to power the sata drive on after the comp was booted and I am now copying data back. The drive is alive....! At least breathing and beating right now...

After the data copies, I am going to try to boot the system with it in, just to see what will happen. I've seen stranger things before, so it wouldn't surprise me if it boots like normal now or not....

Stange... (but with 'puters, I have seen stranger...)

After copying the data, I was able to boot the old pvr with the suspected bad SATA drive.

It is running fine.
