So I am trying to make a concoction of scripts to take my MPG recordings from GBPVR to Divx or Xvid doesnt matter really, while cutting out the commercials, If I am reinventing the wheel please tell me I dont want to transcode at the time of my recording necessarily so i am trying to just do it on shows after the fact like ones I cant get to in a reasonable amount of time. I wish GBPVR had a feature to do this. Anyways here is how it works
MPG
to
Comskip
To
Comclean2
To
Cuttermaran
To
xvid convert FFMPEG

everything works up until cuttermarran trys to open the project file it does not seem to like the audio file (.m2v I think or it is the other one) that ddmux spits out what is up with that. Anyone know why it would not like that audio file. I dont think it is a script still running I have tried stopping the script and just opening the cuttermarran in cpf file by itself still no dice. Thanks.

why are you going thru all those steps? do comskip, then if the comclean2 is the one that uses mencoder, alter the line to spit out a xvid in same step...
comclean cuts, so not sure why cutterman is there..

otherwise. just use ffmpeg and chose either cutterman or comclean2..no need for both..

there's a nice script somewhere around here..maybe on the wiki...does all that and more..

and you can do individual files from video library..just make a batch as the exe= in custom ffmpegconversions...Big Grin

I will try out the mencoder option I would still like to see a script if it is already available I will check the wiki. Some of what yo said is pretty confusing I will have to see if I can sort it out.
Like how can you use comclean2 or cuttermaran doesnt comclean2 have a version that creates project files for use in cuttermaran? I know comclean2 has a mencoder version also but for some reason cuttermaran seemed like the better path. Thanks.

Okay so I picked up Statiks script. Is there a way to make it fully drop and forget I turned off guide mode and it goes through more options and such but I still have to hit enter a few times to get it to continue on. I would like to just set my settings which would be
NTSC
4:3
Xvid

and walk away and have no more intereactions.
