I set up Heroes to record the season this season by setting it to "this channel, this timeslot" but the first time it airs this year there is a special airing the hour before it. When I set it this way I assumed it would only record the show at 9:00pm and not the special at 8:00pm but it set both to record. I didn't want the special so I canceled the recording so I could reset the season. It removed them both from my "pending recordings" list but when I do a search for Heroes it still has both times in red as if they are scheduled to record and I can't select them. I tried exiting out of PVRX2 and restarting the recording service but it is still showing them this way. Any ideas on how to get it to reset that so I can actually set it up to record would be great. It's still a few weeks away so no big deal.

I didn't notice this:

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...recordings

Until after I asked this question. It looks like I probably did the same thing. Where is the "remote history" located. I don't see how to run that?

Edit:

Ok so sorry for all the repeated reposts here. It looks as though I had a three or four repeated instances of the recurring recording in the recurring recordings area. I canceled all of those and was able to reschedule it. However, it is still recording both things the 8 and 9pm shows. I can deal with it it's not that big of a deal I'll just delete the special after it records. It looked like the other person who was having the same problem was also using schedules direct. Could that have anything to do with this?

ShedulesDirect could be incorrectly supplying a duplicate show identifier.

Maybe try disabling 'dont record duplicates' for a while.

The two shows are billed as being together in a three hour season premiere. They are the same show... You'll have to delete the first show

They show up as two seperate items in the guide. It's not like it's a three hour block or something.

If they have listed them as three separate shows, but with the same ID, then this will most likely confuse things.

You should be able to schedule one-off recordings for these shows from the TV Guide though, and I'd assume it'd probably be fine for the rest of the series.

Yeah that's probably the best way of doing that. Thanks for the info.
