Hello, I am very new to the world of PVR.
I download a trial of BeyondTV and could not get it to work right.
I downloaded a trial of Sage TV. I was able to get it to work, but I had to download a trial of PowerDVD to get a codec in order to be able to burn Closed Captions into DVD-R with Nero. The quality of the DVD's was on par with a 6 HR VHS tape. The original files and DVD-R's were set to 2 Hrs. = 4.4GB (Standard DVD Quality).
I am looking for better quality on the DVD-R's, but I must have the CC.
Since loading and seting up these programs is very complicated, thought I should ask first if I have any hope for success with GB PVR before mounting an attempt.
I have two Hauppauge Win TV PVR 250 's. OS is XP SP2. PC is Pentium 4 2.4 GHz. 1 GB Ram. HD is 36 GB SCSI LVD.
For those of you out there who are using GB PVR and burning DVD-R's from your recorded files, can you get the Closed Captions to Display if you play the DVD's on your TV ?
How would you rate the quality of the DVD when played back on your TV ?
Thanks for any advice.
