I had a NOVA-T-500 and a PVRUSB2 running without a problem for weeks. I installed a HVR-2200 yesterday and tried recording five shows at once. All five recorded. Five more recordings were sceduled to start as soon as the five first recordings ended. None of the five latter shows stopped recording. Only a restart of Config solved the problem. Wat is causing this? Logs attahed.

Saw another thread with problems when recordings were back to back. Perhaps the HVR-2200 was not responsible after all.

I have the same problem with recordings not stopping, the first "Voyager" recording in the logs stopped as it should the second I accidentally stopped early myself. The "Countryfile" recording should have stopped after 1 hour but I had to manually stop the recording service to get it to end, I then tried another quick test recording of "Allo Allo" after a reboot to make sure everything was in a clean state and this too failed to stop. The only thing I think I've changed since the "Voyager" recordings was the file location settings (not in C:\Temp) anymore.

I am using my original recording folder, but I'm still on the previous GBPVR version. The fixes for HVR-2200 in the latest release didn't sound like they could solve my analog recording problem. The initial problem I reported in this thread has been solved. My TV-card was defective and I have received a new card and re-installed the driver and now the card works fine, but not in GBPVR. Using Mediaportal as a reference, the card records averything I throw at it just fine.

This appears related to my problem, in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=36648

I have not upgraded yet, awaiting solution on TS issue in new version, since I know that internal reader does not work for me, I use Haili (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=38920). However, it would appear this problem has not gone away. My logs, several, from previous hangs did not show anything. Sometimes accompanied by a MS bug/failure report.

Just happened again this week. Lost a full week of recordings, since I went out of town, and wife did not check for hang. The show stops recording partway through, but the recording service thinks it is still recording until manually stopped. File size and date stop mid-show, just recording service hangs.

We rarely if ever watch live TV, thanks to GBPVR and comskip, so I do not think the live TV interaction is the problem. Most often, if not always, the hang is on one channel (CBS), in high def shows (1080i). Once I had live TV (game) go to black notice that there was no signal, and it never returned. Went to TV's tuner, show was on. So something in GBPVR hung. Or perhaps my TV card or driver? Why that would be only one channel I don't know.

I have Aver 780M, Comcast cable, Windows XP Media Center, current on all patches on OS. Fast CPU (3.4 GHz), plenty of drive space, Invidea 7600Gt video card.

It does sound similar to what I’m getting, my recordings are in TS format but I couldn’t get the internal player to play the recordings at all gbpvr just hangs up and I end up having to kill it with task manager, I disabled the internal player and installed hdtvpump and the patched nativeutilities.dll, the recording then plays ok but it looks like doing this is what caused the problem of the recordings not stopping.
I found that if I put the original nativeutilities back the recordings end as they should but of course then I can’t watch them from within gbpvr. One thing that is different to your problem is that when the recording fails to stop it really is still recording, the file continues to grow and if I watch it back the program following the one I intended to record is there as well. It was interesting to read what you said about a possible link with stream corruption, I know I have a bit of an issue with my setup being susceptible to interference usually caused by a moped belonging to a local teenager.
