do a recording and when its still recording is the file there and growing?

Hi, it now sems to be recording again, but how can I get it to record as normal avi or mpg, not dvr-ms?

It'll record a .mpg file if you use the ATI or Cyberlink mux filters. It'll record a .ts file if you use the TS Mux mux. It'll record a .dvr-ms file if you use the DVR-MS Mux. Its not possible to record an avi file.
