Some developments: With the new 1.3.7 version of GB-PVR, I'm also only getting two channels found on the first transponder (10714H):

I tried every combination of the CRC ignore options, with exactly the same result. Not sure if they've changed anything on the satellite while I upgraded, but the lineup on there hasn't changed for three weeks or so.

Also an FTA version of channel five called '6335' has been added to 10773H, which I now see on the scan in addition to the three that came up before:

I don't have access to my recently working machine, but my s350 with some other software finds 14 pids. 6 Ch4's (I have no idea what this is about) Film 4 film4+1 and two ch4's

I'll have a check on the other tuner later on.

Hi guys I am also one of the many which went for a cheap and dreary Videomate S350. What is the consensus on these cards, should I opt for a different card i.e Nova S2?

Swings and roundabouts I think.

My S350 works well and is reliable as a tuner, comes in and out of hibernate without problem. Doesn't scan with gbpvr though - sorry - Does scan, but names are wrong and maybe details. I will soon be looking at this dvbdream plugin though.

I have a pinnacle twin tuner and this is worse - nothing at all with gbpvr, but fine with dvbdream and dvbviewer.

Recently acquired an ancient wintv Nova-S and this tunes and gets a cache file fine.
However, 80% of the time it is dead coming out of hibernate. Devcon can't seem to wake it up.

For me, the number of times a rescan needs doing, doesn't make it worth the cost of upgrading to a better supported card if I can get a cache file from my nova-s or from on here, or via the dvbdream plugin. Before splashing out, I think I'll wait for more free channels using dvb-s2 and support for that - which doesn't exist as yet.

OK thanks for your input Martin.

As I can't speak from experience on other cards and because my S350 has been reliable (touch wood) then I think I will continue to put up with the scanning issue, as you have said the scanning is only an issue if you haven't got a source for the scan.cache file. Which I havn't apart from these forums. So I thank all that post the scans on the forums, without this GBPVR would be a dead stick for me.

I will take a look at the plugin you mentioned, hopefully that could be the saving grace.
