HELP!!! Hauppauge 1950 Issues

Hi Everyone. Brand spankin newbie with regards to GBPVR. I install the GBPVR, the Drivers for my Capture Card (Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1950 (USB))Everything appears to work correctly when I use the WinTV Application. I followed the instructions in this post http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...light=1950 and was successfully able to select the card from the drop-down menu. I also completed the rest of the configuration, I think:confused: When I start the application and click on liveTV the window hangs for a moment then does nothing and returns control to the menu screen. If someone could give me some direction, next step I would be grateful. Running System:
Shuttle sn68ptg5 w/ Nvidia 7050PV/nForce 630a chipset
Western Digital 1TB SATAII, SATAII DVD-R,
2GB DDR 800 RAM, realtek ACL8800 sound
Capture card mentioned above
AMD X2 5000+
WinXP SP3

PS SUB From what I have seen thus far GBPVR is Awesome and the Price really really nice. No plans to stop anytime soon. Right??

Hi,

You can search for hvr-1950 and see the posts that relate to my problems also. I just went through this and am still working to get irblaster to control cable box.

As for your problem, try the live preview option bottom left on misc tab and make sure you have vista codecs installed. Then swith the h.264 decoder to ffdshow video decoder on playback tab and evr (ehanced video renderer) under pvr2.exe at top left of playback screen.

This has everthing working on mine with analog capture source. You may need to mod you .ini see posts.

Try enabling live preview mode in the config app, and making sure the live tv buffer directory is a directory that exists.

If it still doesnt work, reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.
