This may be a known issue, but it seems that every time I restart my MPV, I have to restart the MPV service. I'm running the latest and greatest 13 version of GB-PVR.

Is there a fix/workaround?

Thanks,
ANEDJF

Are you manually starting the GB-PVR MVP Server, or using the 'auto start servers' setting in the config app?

I restart (turn off and back on (I rarley unplug it)) the MVP for several reasons, at night when I'm done watching TV, it locks up for some reason, mysteriously looses connectivity to the server app, etc.

I am manually starting the MVPServer App.

This is with no changes to the config.

Seems intermittent, too, sometimes it will reconnect after a restart of the MVP (power off/on), it reconnects, but the buttons on the remote have no effect, once I restart the MVPServer app (exit and launch), it works just fine.

AMD Athlon XP 2200+, 512Mb DDR, PVR-250.

Try setting the 'auto start servers' to 1, which is the prefered way to run it. It'll clean up connections much better this way.

Thanks, sub. I tried that, and it seems to be better, but I'll need a bit more testing.

I changed the config.xml stanza:

<MVPServerAutostart>1</MVPServerAutostart>

I'm assuming thats what you meant.

Thanks,

On one of the tabs in the configuration section you can set the number of MVPservers to autostart. No need to manually edit the .xml file,

Cheers,
Colin
