Select capture source

I recently asked in the Wish List forum if Sub would add a way to specify the capture source when setting a recording. He said he wasn't planning on adding this option. Is it possible using Sqlite3.exe to insert the oid of the capture source into the recording schedules "capture_source" field and the recording would use that source? I have analog and digital sources mapped to the same channel and would like to be able to select which tuner to use.

If you're lucky it'll use it, but there is a lot of situations that would cause the capture source to be reallocated prior to the recording occurring. For example, season recordings are deleted and recreated (using GB-PVR default allocation) after each EPG update, or live tv using a tuner can trigger a recording to be moved to a different tuner.

I'll try it since I rarely watch live tv. I just use GBPVR to record. I do set to record all new episodes of shows by using the "*" that mc2xml puts in the title of new shows so not sure if that's the same as season recording.

Oh, and thank you Sub for such a great program. WAF is high for your program. Now I just need do work out hardware glitches.

I did try it and it worked. I may look into creating a plugin for this, but for now I can create an sqlite3.exe script to do the dirty work.
