I tried to install the Windows XP MCE's 2005 eHome Infrared Receiver Rollup 2 Update, but I had to uninstall sp3 for it to take. I assume, it was allready in sp3.

Do you need 2 instances of 'IR server Suite' to be running for GBPVR to choose witch blaster to fire? or am I missing something in ir suite?

Never the less, I cant seem to get #1 blaster to fire. Also channel change numbers do not show up on the screen in PVRx2 when I use the remote, and or keyboard. I only get the channel post with #2 blaster configuration.
Athlon 64x2 5200+,GigabyteMoBO Nvidia 9600 512, on board Realtek HD audio /3gs ram/500gb record storage, 500gb network video, 500gb video/trans code storage. 1 PVR-150, 1 PVR-1800, 2 Shaw Satellite receivers (one dedicated), one OTA antenna. This dedicated GBPVR PC has a Antec case Blue-ray/HD DVD, windows remote+diNovo mini keyboard.

You only need on instance of IR Server.

Here is info from the help file

Code:
IRBlast -host {server} [-port x] [-pad x] [-channel] {commands}

Use -host to specify the computer that is hosting the IR Server.
Use -port to blast to a particular blaster port (optional).
Use -channel to tell IR Blast to break apart the following IR Command and use each digit for a separate IR blast (optional).
Use -pad to tell IR Blast to pad channel numbers to a certain length (Optional, Requires -channel).
Use a tilde ~ between commands to insert half second pauses.

Examples:

IRBlast -host HTPC TV_Power.IR

This would blast the TV_Power.IR command on the HTPC computer to the default blaster port.

IRBlast -host MEDIAPC -port Port_2 "Turn on surround.IR"

This would blast the "Turn on surround.IR" command on the MEDIAPC computer to blaster port 2.

IRBlast -host HTPC -pad 4 -channel 302

This would blast the 3.IR, 0.IR, and 2.IR commands on the HTPC computer to the default blaster port.

There is also a windowless version of IR Blast in the same folder as "IRBlast.exe" called "IRBlast-NoWindow.exe"

IR Blast (No Window) uses the exact same command line parameters as IRBlast, but when called from another application it will not create a command prompt window.

After following the directions in post #8 a few times, I had no luck getting port#1 to fire. Until I physically removed my capture cards from the PC. Then installing the cards after the MCE transceiver had been installed. Now I have Port#1 firing. Only with 'Ir Suite' test fire. The port will not fire in PVRx2. I have a few more ideas to tryout before I give up.(still no post or response to the remote/ir when card 2 is in focus in PVRx2)?

Thanks again fro the help and ideas!

looks like you goofed the -port command..
it has an underscore... -port_1 not -port 1
[if you ask me it should be -port1 anyways..]
