It is a gforce mx200 64 mb card.. how do i tell if it has that support?

I also just noticed the proc is only 1.24 ghz.. if that matters.

Here is a screen shot of the blurry guide i get, same lines on the menu page.

Yeah, it definitely looks like your video card isnt coping. The GeForce MX cards are very marginal. Some people have had them working ok, but others have had any luck with them. I know a lot of owners of these had to update their drivers to get it to work at all. So look for new drivers. If that doesnt help, you could try a lower resolution (sometimes helps). Otherwise you'd probably need a new video card.

Sorry to hijack your thread dog812, but I have a similar problem and it's always nice to keep advice in the same place.

I've been running GBPVR for a year without any major issues on my Win XP PC, so today I installed the latest build on my Win 2003 server in the hope that I could use it to schedule recordings (rather than leave my main PC running).

The entire install went flawlessly from start to finish - and it was only when I tried to run PVRX2 that I got the following message:

"Sorry, this system does not support the required VMR9 video render."

Having looked into this I can confirm I have DirectX 9 installed as well as the latest KLM codec pack. And I have tried changing the PVRX2.exe Video Render to overlay with the result that the PVRX2 window opens but nothing is displayed.

I have come to the conclusion that my graphics cad is sub par, which is logical since the card is onboard a mobo that is at least 5 years old. I'm hoping that I have a spare card in my junk box but in case I don't is there anything I can do to get PVRX2 to open so I can access the TV guide in order to set up recordings?

Many thanks,

Jeremy

I too had sound but no video? Been using GBPVR fine for a long time, but was recently playing with Xvid converting and I think that's what screwed me up?

So, the first thing I tried was upgrading my GBPVR from 1.2.9 to 1.3.7, no luck. I then re-loaded my Hauppauge drivers and that fixed the video problem.
