G'day,

I upgraded to 1.3.7 recently and suffered from stuttering in SD TV, which was never a problem before. I have discovered that the CPU usage is up around the 60-80% mark with spikes to 100%. I investigated further and found that with PVRX2 turned off I still got spikes to about 80% every 10 seconds on the CPU until I turned off the GB-PVR recording service, at which time they went away. Turning the service back on again brings them back immediately.

My stats are as follows:
AMD Atthlon 64 3200+
2 GB RAM
2 Leadtek DTV1000T tuners
NVidia GeForce 6600
GB-PVR 1.3.7
Windows XP SP3

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I found an old thread with similar symptoms, but it claimed that they had been fixed in a previous upgrade.

Cheers

Can you post your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log, with some indication of the times the some of spikes occurred (look at the clock)

Thanks Sub for having a look at this. The cpu spikes happen at all times the recording service is on, which is all the time that my computer is on, and all the times contained in the logs. Every 10 seconds the spike occurs.

Cheers.

Does it still do it if you disable the web server?
