Dear All,

I am new to this so please be patient. I'm using a Leadtek Winfast DV1800H card which came with WinFastPVR2 software (which I don't like for various reasons) and now use PVRX2 (absolutely great!). Now, I get (here in Perth, Western Australia) EPG information for Channel 9 using the WinFast software but while using PVRX2 software I don't get anything. All other channels are fine (7 and 10) but 9 has a problem of sorts. I have fiddled settings here and there but I am too inexperienced to understand what mechanism is responsible. I've searched forums and Googled my keywords but I can't find anything and don't actually know enough to know what to ask (specifically). Thank you in advance for your efforts and patience.

Hi

You need to import your data in the xmltv format. I use a program called "xmltvgui". Easy to set up and it downloads TV listings in xmltv format.

Then in the GBPVR config application, you can select the xmltv file you use.

All you have to do then is constantly replace the xmltv file with a newly downloaded one. I think GBPVR can go online and retreive this itself but i dont bother, I just do it manually whenver i am online.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Apologies for not being more specific. I was actually referring to the off-air EPG. As mentioned before, if I run the PVR2 software, I can see the CH9 off-air EPG but when I run the PVRX2 software, I don't get it (but I do get the other channels). What is the mechanism within the software which I need to tweek to rectify this problem?

Lastly, my current abode does not have internet access so I do not have the option of the xmltv format.

Thank you
Mick

So you are using the DVB-EPG download option in the capture source config?

You'll probably have to post a set of logs so that someone can take a look at the EPG download part.
