Hi

I have set up the Enhanced Web Admin feature as described here

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...edWebAdmin

However when I try to access it from a browser from another Machine I get internet explorer cant open this page

I am using this to connect
http://ip:port/gbpvr/login.aspx.

refer to logs for further info.

Thanks

Ps. allow service to interact with desktop has been tick with service stopped and restarted.

Maybe a firewall blocking the access. Or when you are trying from outside the lan (internet) you might have to forward (in the router) the port to the server.

Also worth mentioning that
http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/Guide.aspx
works fine on the local machine where GB PVR is installed
it also works fine on another machine on the network
its only a problem if I try to enter my external ISP IP address to connect remotely which is what I need

Are you really trying this from outside the lan or are you just trying to use the external ip inside the lan? It's very well possible that this doesn't work because a lot of routers don't allow loop-back connections. On some you can turn it on in the router config.

You really need an outside proxy for your web browser so your requests can go outside and back in again. It can be very difficult testing internet access when you are inside your NAT router.

Thanks problem resolved, it was a combination of not forwarding the port correctly and also trying to test from within my own network as Martin123 pointed out.

Thanks for all your help, I can go to sleep now Smile
