Channel name editing utility?

I did some searching in the forums, and it looks like some people have suggested that you could modify the sql database, to fix the names of the channel in question, but then, devs said that it will screw up on the next EPG update.

So, the only way to do this right now, would be to create your own xml file with the correct names /channels, and then import that? (How do you export the current list that it found?)

I have yet to check the source, but that seems like taking a hammer to the problem, and it really shouldn't be as hard as it is right now to change channel names when (clear) QAM don't have the correct channel name for the channel.

I have a solution for you.
You will be modifying gbpvr.db3 with SQlite database browser (free from internet) -so do yourself a favor and backup your gbpvr.db3 first.
When you open go to 'Browse Data' tab and pick 'Channel" table. You'll see 'display_name' column. Double click on any field in this column, change name and 'apply changes'.
After all changes, save the database. The next EPG update won't affect anything in 'display_name' column.
