You might need to change your remote to something other than 'MCE' in the config app.

Oh, I see, if I don't tell GB-PVR to look for MCE remote codes coming in, then it won't see any of the special mce buttons on the remote (I'm pretty sure it does the numbers, arrows, enter, etc. as regular keypresses via a USB HID Keyboard driver). Then I can program them all as I wish. Thanks sub, that hadn't even occurred to me. I'll try it and report back.

yep, that seems to work. First I tried 'USB-UIRT', but the recording service failed to restart the first time, and then when I manually restarted it the setting changed itself to 'Default (Hauppauge)'. I'm assuming that won't cause any problems? The only other choice is RedRat3.

Now all I have to do is program the missing buttons in EventGhost, following the keymap files. Basically it's all the media buttons, anything you wouldn't find on a regular keyboard. Extra work, but golden once it's done.
