My wife's complaining about "wake up". Big Grin
I've to say she's right, I've noticed that since I installed the release 1.3.11 the pc won't start up but it happens randomly.
Does anybody have the same problem ?

If you search the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log file, you should see messages like "Asking Windows to be awake for recording at ...." followed by the time. As long as you can see these messages, then GB-PVR has lived up to its end of the bargain but Windows hasnt woken for one reason or another.

You are right.
it writes:
" ERROR Failed to find BDA turner filter : N"

But there is something of strange because I've got 2 cards (1 digital, 1 analog) and if one of them is busy the GBPVR chose the other one.
It sounds like that GBPVR stopped on error instead trying the other one, doesn't it?

It pre-allocates a recording to a tuner, and expects that tuner to be in a working state. If that tuner has an error, it will not try to find another tuner.

You'll have to work out why that tuner is not working after resuming from standby/hibernate.

is it a usb tuner?

I used to have a lot of problems with my nova-t usb2 resuming from standby. I fixed this by running gbpvrwake.exe which will run wake.cmd when the pc resumes. I set the cmd file to run the devcon utility to restart the usb device after the pc had woken up.

search the forum for devcon for more info.

I've had USB wakeup problems as well. I also run gbpvrwake and wake.cmd (although there is now a more direct way to runs things when waking up http://www.desimonesystems.com/suspendtrigger/index.php - but the site seems down at the moment).
I use devcon to restart my USB tuner, I think with the -r switch it will reboot if resetting isn't enough. Playing with device manager power options for the device can help as can trying different drivers (newer is not always better).
