Manual Record - set length of recording?

I'm guessing there's an easy way to do this, but just can't find it anywhere.


Say I'm watching live tv, and I want to set it to record for just the next 2 hours 15 minutes. How can I do this? Currently, I'm going into Manual record, setting start time to right now, and having to do Clock-math to get the correct end time.

Is there a simpler way to just press a button while watching live-tv, and have a dialog ask "How long would you like to record?"

when watching tv and hitting record what does it do for you?

I get a box saying record till end of program, and then I think there is a timed option in that list.

Thank you... that was it. I'm having to get used to the keyboard shortcuts... I'm used to seeing actual "record" or "FF" buttons that I could click with a mouse.... unless there is an option to turn those on as well?

Do you happen to know what recording quality you get recording directly from live tv? Under manual record there were options for quality and file name.

I think the setting is defined in the config app. Of course this only relates to an analog card and not a digital card.

you get tv timeshift profile quality when recording from livetv...[same as timeshift]
mouse buttons only show when moving mouse..don't think there's any way to make them show without mouse..
