Buying Wireless MediaMVP

I am looking into buying a wireless MediaMVP. So I will have some questions so that I dont throw my money down the crapper. One is that I have read thay you can only run this on WEP secured network that it will not work on a WPA encrypted network? Is there a way around this so that I can leave my Net on WPA? I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router.

Stupid question but what the heck is a dongle and will I need to get one?

I'm pretty sure it only does WEP. I wouldnt really recommend going wireless though - go wired if possible, you'll get much smoother results, and not have to worry about the WEP/WPA thing.

A dongle is the software image that gets loaded onto the MVP each time it boots up.

I was afraid of that I dont really want to run the wires through my house and all or under over in my case. Could I lock down the MVP by mac address on my network and just turn off WPA?

I think more people have had success with Homeplug type mains networking than wireless MVP's if you really can't run wires.
