Hey all,

I'll come clean and say yes I'm a newb here....but I'm loving what has been done so far. I did a search on the forums...but didn't find anything that helped me solve my problem.

Running 1.3.11
Standard Install
Hauppauge PVR-150
Using Schedules Direct for EPG

My install of the GB-PVR was successful, as well as my config. I was able to import my channel listing for Time Warner from SD without issue, everything seemed ok. I started the PVR and told epg to update to get my listings, and expected to get a full days worth or more. That however wasn't the case. I got about a half of a day and then it was just blank. I let the system run overnight, which the update time is set to 2AM. It again updated, but again only got programming till 7PM tonight. I tried to synch it through PVR software again, and it didn't pull any information this time.

Reboot just for giggles....no help

In config, removed all my channels and re-imported my channel listing again. Go into PVR and synch, no program data, just blank

Any help you could provide would be helpful. I'm still on my trial with SD and would like to make sure I can get this working before I pay for my subscription.

If I missed providing any vital information...let me know and I'll get it ASAP!!

Thanks,

Scott

In the config program, under Capture Sources, in the settings for your tuner, in the dialog from the setting button next to your epg setup, what number do you have for EPG Days? Crank up the number, apply the changes, update the epg manually, close pvrx2 if it was opened, wait a minute or so, then open it up again and see what you've got.

I have Schedules direct with GBPVR and get about 2 weeks worth of listings at a time, FWIW.

Mian....I will definitely try that. I did however just notice another problem. I have a lot of duplicate channels...for instance there are 2 channel 61's listed. Could that be contributing to my problem?

***Update***
My channel listing in config and channel listing in the pvr software do not match. Under config all the channels are listed correctly, but in the TV Guide, it is showing duplicate channels.

I tried the fix above, did not fix my problems.

Thanks,

Scott

I suspect your problem is related to a known SD/TMS networking problem that effects a very small number of people, resulting in a lots less listings being sent than was asked for. Search the Schedules Direct forums for the 'MTU' keyword.

You may need to use the command line xmltv utility for downloading your listings. It contains some work around for the issue that can occur.

Sub,

Thanks for the reply. It seems that my EPG is updating correctly, but I'm not sure why. Last night when I tried the changes above suggested by Mian, they did not work. This was over a period of a few hours. However when I checked the system tonight, all the EPG data was populates fully, no more partial listing.

EXCELLENT!!! no command line updates for me :-)

I am still having another problem, I'll list it here, however if you want me to start a new thread on it...just say so.

I'm still having trouble with duplicate channel listings in the TV guide, even though the channel listings in the config are correct. I've attached pics....it's easiest to just see it...rather than me try to explain.

Thanks again,

Scott
