I hope some day you can separate the HD and SD channels in the Guide so we can actually pick what show we want in HD or SD. Kind of how Snapstream Beyond TV does it. For instance. Have ABC, CBS, NBC in SD in the guide, and then have a different HD guide data for the same channels all mashed together into one guide. So two different lineups all into one guide. That would be awesome. Look at Beyond TV. Thats how they do it and it works awesome.

Love the program. But I can't use it until it does that.
Custom Built Quadcore AMD Phemom II, 4 GB Ram, 2 TB HD, 2 WinTv-HVR-1600, Windows 7 64BIT, Radeon 3200 HD, 37 inch LCD HDTV.

Depending how you get your channel data, this may be possible. If you get from schedulesdirect you may not, however, have any control of over the channel names.

I run a system where i use XMLTV files for my channel data. One of them I have called HD and I append HD to the channel name (TV1 = TV1HD) therefore making two separate channels so I can choose HD or SD for recordings.

I really think this is all up to you and your EPG source. In fact, I'm not sure why it would ever NOT work the way you describe. If you get both an SD and HD feed of the same channel, in most cases you'll get two channels in the guide. In any case, GB-PVR has only one guide, no matter how many channel lineups you have defined.

I know this thread is pretty old but can't "TV Listings" do something like this?
I have set it up with an SD Guide page and an HD Guide page. (Yellow button switches between them from memory)
Pundit-R with XP pro
1900 IGP for video
P IV 3GHz
1 GB memory with 128MB dedicated to display
PVR350
Nova-S plus
GBPVR 1.3.11 running PVRX2 in FSE mode
Cyberlink codec
HDX1000 NMT (not yet using GBPVR interface)

I use Schedules Direct and I can do this with my lineups. I have (for example) the analog "WHAS" and then I also have "WHASDT" with is the digital channel.

I can do this with TV Listings - just set up two programme guides.

- Noisy NAS: Xeon / Intel mobo / 16GB RAM / FreeNAS + Ubuntu VMs on VMware ESXi + 12TB RAID
