Recording AND watching at the same time

I have Live Preview mode enabled on my Vista machine with single tuner. As soon as press 'record' I get a black screen. The navigation appears if I move the mouse about and the .TS stream is created fine in the temp directory.

Is this by design? Or should I be seeing the recorded stream playing back (which is what I would expect)? I have tried different video renderers and also different decoders and they all do the same thing.

If you press record while watching live preview mode, it stops live tv, starts a recordings, then starts playing that recording.

It sounds like you playback isnt starting for some reason. Post the logs and I'll take a look.

How long do you wait with the black screen?
On my box if I press pause it takes about (what feels like) 10 seconds with a black screen before it sorts itself out.
