sound in client left right backwords

the sound on the client is left right backwords. i have checked the pan on the client via the audio control pannel. left is left and right is right. but any thing encoded and streamed to the client is wrong. any thoughts? i have a hvr-1600

your server does not do it?

And does playing the file (from the server on the client) with something other than gbpvr - and not windows media player - result in the same? Use a player like VLC if you have it. This would show you if its your file, or the decoders that you are using.

If the above test results in the file being played correctly then play with your decoders/renderers.

i will check and see. files played back on the server are not correct. I will play a file back in some other player. i am not home for a few days so, will get back to you on that.

is it important to not play them back in widows media player. from this would assume that the gbpvr uses wmp to play back fils?

not completly, but the filters used, and the order of the filters is pretty similar between the two.

VLC supplies it's own modules for playing, this is why it makes it a good test if its the file or the system.
