USB-UIRT - works in Live TV but not scheduled recordings

Im having the opposite issue. Live tv does not change channels where as recordings are changing channels fine. I am also using a USB-IRT.

Is this perhaps some sort of vista permissions thing?

I'm not sure if this is related but I have a similar issue after I wake the PC in that I can't get GBPVR to change channel. If I If I start USB-UIRT lrnhelper.exe after I wake the PC I see "Unable to connect to USB-UIRT device ...". Unplugging and re-plugging makes it work again. I tried a couple of years ago to get the USB-UIRT manuf to look at this to no avail.

I was wondering sub if we could by some magic use that recycle thing you do to wake it up.

There is a <RecycleUSBUIRT>true</RecycleUSBUIRT> in the config.xml, I am not a100% sure what it does, but like I said recordings seem to be OK.

There is also a <StartUSBUIRTReceiver>false</StartUSBUIRTReceiver> . No idea what that does.

Is there any chance (is it even possible?) of some sort of USB-UIRT recycle function as in the config, that I could schedule in a batch file or on PC wake that does the same as me unplugging / replugging the USB-UIRT?

Here's a quick and dirty batch file workaround to unplugging/replugging the usb-uirt device if it doesn't work from wake from standby. Not a fix per se (to taht issue), just a workaround. This might be able to be run automatically on the PC Wake Event, but I am not sure how to do that at least not yet.

Copy the following to a text file and rename to a batch file USBUIRTRestart.bat. You can run the batch instade of manually unplugging/replugging the USB Cable.

Follow the instructions after the "REM's"
