I want to view LiveTV using GBPVR and my Hauppauge HD PVR (H264). I installed GBPVR and the ArcSoft patch, added <PreferredHDPVRAudioFormat>AC3</PreferredHDPVRAudioFormat> to get the audio to work, set the video decoder to ArcSoft, and was able to view live TV, but the video stuttered. CPU utilization was about 10%, so it was using hardware acceleration just fine. Could be a problem with the ArcSoft decoder.

I wanted to try the MPC decoder since MPCHC works well and uses hardware acceleration for playback. I downloaded the MPCVideoDec.ax and registered it. Windows Media Player used it to play a H264 file, so that seemed ok. When I set GBPVR to use MPC filter as the video decoder, I get only audio. I tried all of the listed video renderers (VMR9 Custom, VMR9FE, EVR, and overlay), but no luck. I installed Haali splitter, but same result. What am I missing?

Here's a snippet from the log:

H.264 are not as interchangeable as MPEG2 decoders. The app pretty much needs to add support for each H.264 decoder I want to support. I've focused on the ArcSoft and Cyberlink H.264 decoders up until now, and MPCHC decoder doesnt work.

I did recently (post 1.3.11) try to get this decoder working, but it had some problem and wouldnt connect, and I ran out of time to investigate.
