Media Center + GB-PVR coexist w/same remote question

I am somewhat new to GB-PVR.

I would like to keep Media Center installed but I can't figure out how I can choose which application my Hauppauge remote will open.

All I can do is open GBPVR through the keyboard, my Hauppauge remote will only open Media Center. I'll probably ditch Media Center down the road but would like to be able to access each program through my remote for the time being.

Is there an easy work-around for this?

I've tried Eventghost and Hip but can't figure either out (yet). Thanks for any responses.

You should be able to do this.

The standard Hauppauge remote uses irremote.ini in c:\windows\system32 (or perhaps just c:\windows).

Look in that file on the GRNPOWER= line. That controls the application that starts when you hit the green power button when default. Just change that line to start pvrx2.exe with GRNPOWER and assign another unused key to start Media Center. Remember to stop and restart ir.exe
