my config: Klite codec, ffshow and ac3filter. Optical SPDIF output to receiver.

This is not a GBPVR issue but it has to do with the underlying codes used by GBPVR.

I finally got everythign working, all the recordings playing and stuff, and came to the point where some of the files played by GPVR and media player have low volume, and even lower center channel, namely the dialog.

I recently installed Nero so that i can burn some of the files to DVD's including home vidoes... To my surprise, when I open a file (an mkv) using neroshow, the audio is loud and i can hear the dialog.

does any know why this would happen? any know which codecs are being used by neroshow? I'd like to use the same codes for GBPVR and do awa ywith ffdshow.

Thanks,

I think Nero has it's own filters.

Perhaps launch config.exe, playback tab, select properties tab next the audio decoder and crank the volume output for the filter up to the desired level.

If you want to record as MPEG, you need to register a mux filter, which will be a .ax file.

Else you may instead be able to record direct to dvr-ms or .ts format using the builtin windows or gbpvr filters respectively.

here's my output for what it's worth
GB-PVR has detected the following multiplex filters on your machine:

Found: PP MPEG Muxer (aka, CyberLink MPEG Muxer)
FILE: C:\Windows\System32\ppMpgMux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.1228

Found: ATI MPEG Multiplexer
FILE: C:\Program Files\Common Files\ATI Technologies\Multimedia\atimpenc.dll
VERSION: 10.5.0.40428
