I ran this batch file from the GBPVR directory:

Code:
rem This file is run from the GBPVR directory

c:\epg\xmltv\xmltv tv_grab_na_dd --days 8 --output xmltv.testxmltv-1.xml

NO SYFY, etc.!

Then, I ran this batch file from the xmltv directory:

Code:
rem This file is run from the XMLTV directory

xmltv tv_grab_na_dd --days 8 --output xmltv.testxmltv-2.xml

The listings are there!

Wouldn't have guessed it in a million years. I'm going to change the epg update file to run from the xmltv directory and see what happens.

Its probably looking for xmltv.exe's configuration file in the current directory, so only finding it when you run from the xmltv directory.

Changed the updateEPG.bat file to this:

Code:
@echo off
Rem   Get Guide Data from Schedules Direct

rem Works not!
rem c:\epg\xmltv\xmltv tv_grab_na_dd --days 8 --output xmltv.xml

cd c:\epg\xmltv
xmltv tv_grab_na_dd --days 8 --output xmltv.xml

copy xmltv.xml c:\epg\xmltv.exe.xml

...and guess what? We got listings for SYFY and ABCF, and the universe is once again back in equilibrium!

Why the batch file as it was before quit working I haven't a clue. Did the name change have anything to do with it, or was that just coincidence? I did remove the old SciFi recordings to get rid of that conflict, but that would have done nothing w/o the above batch file change to get the listings into the xml file.

Thanks to all for your patience and your help. Now, I just need an HD tuner. And a bigger hard drive. Much bigger. And another for backup. And...

Just coincidence. As sub said, it was looking for the configuration file in the current folder hence the need for the "cd" command.
